Zoo time

Dad and Cole with the bird houses (hiding out from the sprinkles for a few minutes!)

The Kelty was definitely the way for Cole to travel - made it easy for him to see everything!

Birds in the Elephant Passage - they did more hopping than flying!

We got to see the monkey cross the rope!

Handsome dudes

Can you tell the exhibit is sponsored by Toyota?

We love elephants!

Here he comes!

Showing off in the water!

One of the zoo's many peacocks!

Zebras!

Cute little antelope called a "Dik dik" (we saw these at the Omaha Zoo a few years ago!)

Breckenridge Trip: Day 1

On our way to Lily Pad Lake!

Dad & Cole getting ready to cross the bridge!

True to form - tons of lily pads!

The hiking crew (Stella's around somewhere...!)

The littlest hiker took a snooze...

"Too much nature!"

Snack time at Lily Pad Lake #2

Stella patiently waits...

Alright!  Back across the bridge (and the sun came out!)!

Pretty scenes from the trail

You can see Dillon Reservoir through the clearing

Stella gave up and had to be carried the last stretch of the way...

"I'm beat!"

(This is the definition of "dog tired!")

After our hike we drove up to Hoosier Pass!

Urban hiking?

We bought a Kelty for our upcoming mountain adventure and thought we should "road-test" it in the neighborhood.

Shaun was a little concerned that people would think we were going overboard for a walk around the park!

Cole did great and we're excited to do some hiking with him in it!
